Free Heartstart CPR training.

This initiative, that will take place every year on 16 October, aims to improve the very low numbers of people surviving out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. Events will be held throughout Europe to increase awareness of the problem.

At Pulse Medic, community involvement is a key factor in how we teach and interact. Thats why we have teamed up with the British Heart Foundation to run two (community cpr )  Heart Start program. Heartstart schemes are run by people like you. They’re independent of the BHF and provide free ELS training in the community and schools. They are aimed at the public, and anyone from the age of ten upwards can attend and learn the complete range of ELS skills. To date 2.6 million people have been trained through Heartstart.

We offer:

  • Heartstart training free of charge to voluntary/community groups and charities. As part of this scheme we run open lifesaving sessions where anyone can come along.
  • emergency life-support training to organisations in the public and private sector at a low cost.

The Heartstart programme (community cpr) includes skills such as:
Assessing an unconscious patient
Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Dealing with choking
Serious bleeding
Helping someone that may be having a heart attack.

ILS went really well thank you. Just to give some feedback, Martin the course trainer was brilliant. I have been on ILS courses before and have found the trainers to be a little full on and not really understand care giving and emergencies outside of acute NHS Hospital trusts. Martin understood the skills (and resources available) of nursing staff working in primary care in independent sectors and the situations that they may face.
