Basic life support training training

A hands-on session for up to eight people. Includes the recognition of cardiac arrest, chest compressions, ventilation,  recovery position and recognition and treatment of choking. The course lasts two hours. Can be offered as Adult, Paediatric or both as required.  Its is ideal for dentists, nurses or anyone who requires a CPR and BLS Certificate.

What you’ll gain

The basic life support training training course is practical and provides ample ‘hands-on’ time with equipment to ensure you can competently perform a range of resuscitation skills. On completion you will:

  • Be a certificated CPR and AED  resuscitator.
  • Knowledge of an use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • Know how to use common resuscitation equipment

Scene management , CPR/AED revision, Oropharyngeal airway, Bag/mask resuscitator, Suctioning, Oxygen delivery.

ILS went really well thank you. Just to give some feedback, Martin the course trainer was brilliant. I have been on ILS courses before and have found the trainers to be a little full on and not really understand care giving and emergencies outside of acute NHS Hospital trusts. Martin understood the skills (and resources available) of nursing staff working in primary care in independent sectors and the situations that they may face.
