Work experience at Pulse Medic

[jamiesocial]

At Pulse Medic Services, community involvement is a key factor in how we teach and interact. Looking at the past years we are able to offer a work experience that is second to none. One day you could be in the back of the ambulance the other in a class room, or in a GP Surgery,  or working with one of our sponsors. Pulling out all the stops we plan to make this work experience one to live for.

We offer work experience places that informal, unpaid work experience. You will be shadowing one of our doctors, nurses in their day jobs, working alongside local Gp’s, gaining a free first aid course, and following us at the university. But that’s not just it, you may get a cool chrome book to go along with your  future studies.

Knowing what to do when someone has a cardiac arrest is important. If you can do CPR you can buy the time needed for professional help to arrive and save the life of your loved one. Being able to do CPR more than doubles their chance of survival. That’s what we are about paramedics, doctors  and doctors giving back to the community.

This programme is aimed at young people aged 16+ who are studying at further education level and considering a degree in medicine. Please note our numbers are restricted and therefore not every applicant can be accepted.

ILS went really well thank you. Just to give some feedback, Martin the course trainer was brilliant. I have been on ILS courses before and have found the trainers to be a little full on and not really understand care giving and emergencies outside of acute NHS Hospital trusts. Martin understood the skills (and resources available) of nursing staff working in primary care in independent sectors and the situations that they may face.
